We went to Columbia – a preserved gold rush town where we met Danielle, Jerry and Sean. There was a lot of frost including on the rooves of houses and the puddles were also frozen. We had ice on the windscreen. We went on a guided walking tour and heard mostly about the women of the early days. We came home for lunch and the boys and Grandma played “Sorry”.
At 4:15 am we left for dinner at the Black Oakes Casino restaurant. We were surprised to see that a courtesy bus continually circled the car park to take visitors 50 metres to the building.
We had a lovely meal. I had salmon and most of the others had steak and lobster. We had an entre platter and a dessert platter. There was a quartet singing carols. After dinner we went downstairs to bowl.
