Sun 4 Dec We arrived at our apartment in Paris at 8:30 am (just becoming light) and walked through a produce market being set up along the street.
Access to the apartment was via a code to open the gate, 2 more codes for a gate and a door, another keyed door and then our apartment with a second key! The ‘bedroom’ is a loft – you can only just sit up in bed. It’s a great location – 2 supermarkets and daily produce markets, including Christmas trees for sale, in the street.
After buying some food and having lunch, we walked to the Arc de Triomphe (20 min) and then about half way down the Champs Elysees. One shop sold tasers, guns and surveillance cameras! It was about 12˚ but it started to rain.
Early to bed. We had to leave a window open because the heater was too hot and we couldn’t work out how to turn it off.
